Lafayette Club on Lake Minnetonka
Not many clubs can rival Lafayette Club's magnificent setting on Lake Minnetonka. The Club has been located between Crystal Bay and Lafayette Bay for more than 100 years. Originally opened in 1882 by James J. Hill as the Hotel Lafayette, the Lafayette Club founders received the deed to the land and started the club in 1899. With a building built in 1925 and many renovations and additions since then, Lafayette combines a rich history with modern luxury and convenience.
The Lafayette Club also has a lot to offer to members. Enjoy year-round fine dining with a view of Lake Minnetonka or relax in front of a fire in the members’ lounge.
