Tonka Bay

The City of Minnetrista is located on the western bays of Lake Minnetonka. The city meanders through the gorgious settings of the lake and the many bays the natural landscape brings. It has many secluded areas to live and several parks available for use. The 32 square mile city of Minnetrista is home to 6,234 residents who enjoy the rural residential and lakeside settings.

The city has a total of 19 parks within its limits.  These parks include:

Douglas Park
Located on the triangle of land where Tuxedo Road, Wellesley Way, and Saint Mary's Road intersect, Douglas Park has a basketball court and playground equipment.

Gale Woods Park
Three Rivers Park District's latest masterpiece, Gale Woods features hiking, cross country skiing, canoe rentals... and a working farm!

Gene Lehner Park
Well known in the area for its famous wooden bear statue, Gene Lehner Park also has a newly resurfaced tennis court, picnic tables, playground equipment, and a trail.

Halstead Bay Boat Access
A public waters access to Lake Minnetonka and limited parking is available on Halstead Drive.

Perennial Park
Enjoy the picninc pavillion, barbecue stands, and the regulation horseshoe pitch at Perennial Park.

Jennings Park
Jennings Park features playground equipment and an all-purpose sport court for basketball, tennis, and volleyball.

Kings Point DNR Park
The Kings Point DNR Park is a public access point to Lake Minnetonka for non-motorized boats and shore fishing.

Lake Minnetonka Regional Park
A regional park operated by the Three Rivers Park District, Lake Minnetonka Regional Park has a public boat access, trails, swimming, and playground equipment.

Linden Park
Located in Hunter's Crest, Linden Park sports a colorful playground, basketball and sand volleyball courts and a picnic pavilion.

Little Long Lake Boat Access
Located at the junction of Game Farm Rd N and Game Farm Rd E, the Little Long Lake Boat Access is a DNR operated public waters access point. A parking lot is available for vehicles and trailers.

Painters Creek Park
Located in the Painters Creek subdivision near County Road 110 and Alexandra Drive, this neighborhood park features a great set of playground equipment.

Cusoke Parks on Saunders Lake
The Cusoke Parks on Saunders Lake feature parking, a walking trail, and a pedestrian bridge that showcases breathtaking views of Saunders Lake.

Slow Creek Park
The Slow Creek Park in the Sunnybrook Farms subdivision includes a trail, pedestrian bridge, playground equipment, and a picnic area.

Merz Marsh Park
Play soccer, basketball, walk on the trail, or enjoy the playground equipment at Merz Marsh Park.

Tuxedo Road Boat Access
A public waters access on Tuxedo Road with some parking available.

Westonka Recreational Association Park
The WRA Operates a large recreational facility that houses lighted ballfields and playground equipment. Click here for reservation, league, and other information.

Westonka Schools
The Westonka Schools, located at County Road 110 and Sunnyfield Road have many recreational facilities, such as tennis courts and playground equipment.

Whaletail Lake Boat Access
The DNR operated boat access on beautiful Whaletail Lake is located on its southern side. Parking is available for both boats and trailers.

Woods of Saga Hill Park
The Woods of Saga Hill Park has a playground nestled into the woods and a trail that meanders through the natural beauty of the area.
