Mound
The City of Mound is surrounded by Lake Minnetonka. Mound has approximately 10,000 residents and is set over 4.5 square miles. Mound has been considered a residents area but the Mound Visions Program called for downtown Mound to re-capture the charm of Lake Minnetonka by developing structures, with a mix of residential and business, that resembled the historic, resort-type architectural theme of the past. The city of Mound has more than 11 miles of lake front property on Lake Minnetonka and over 27 parks within its city limits.
